THE TWINKEYZ. Girls, Ufos, Monsters and mysticism. Interview to Don Marquez. Junio 09.
You did very few shows? I read something like 7-8 shows… was Twinkeyz more oriented to a practice room band? A way to spent time with friends? ;)
The Twinkeyz were mostly geared towards recording. Even practicing was secondary to recording. Keith McKee, who played drums on all of our studio recordings, heard the songs for the first time when we got together in the studio to record them.
Yes, music was very much about spending time with friends, playing music, and also listening to and collecting records. -The life of the band was also short, 3 years?
Yeah, about three years from the time of our first recording to our last. We never got together as a band again after our last recording sessions -Was Twinkeyz your first band? ..... >>>

MICHAEL YONKERS
is an enigmatic well known songwritter in the world of psichedelia and rock and roll... His album "Microminiature love" can be considered a big thing in the universe and a classic for the history. He begans in late 60..s doing surf music and soon evolve to a more sideral way of doing rock and roll... now many years after he still does amazing songs (see the split with Little claw or his album "Only Yonkers") and still knows how to make his guitar sounding like a terminal babilonia.
""""I am going through many years worth of video tapes. i have been putting quite a few videos on... youtube.com .
(search ... BONUSMOUSE .) after i finish this, i plan to start going through many years of audio tapes.
in the last year, i am very proud of the music i have recorded under the name, Michael Yonkers with The Blind Shake.

Hardcore-punk’s always got a reputation for being home to a bunch of like-minded preacher lookalike’s, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s always been whatever you’ve wanted it to be and, among the bulk of sectarians, there’s always been a proper chunk of inadaptate weirdos doing their own thing their own way. Some of those have fell into that perseverance of youth that some people understand to be the nerve that keeps us going among the rubbish of stuggling commonness of daily life. Jay Fox, our interviewee from Northern Virginia..’s United Mutation is one of those enthusiasts, and played in a band that was as removed from the hardcore cliches most comonly projected as you could think. Noone would’ve said at first glance that psychedelia and hardcore could go hand in hand, but they did. That was what United Mutation played, an hyperspeed radiation of west coast psych guitar flashes sending your barely working braincells into the ether like a cannonball. This sound is so good that I can’t believe more bands have fell into that appreciation for both the fury of hardcore and the flight of psych, only Void or Die Kreuzen come to mind into this realm, which makes it even stranger to be uncommon, since those bands were amazing on their own right. .... >>>

One of the better punk bands ever!! ou yea .... this is an interview to Tim Kerr - original guitar of the Big Boys and many others like Monkey Wrench , Total Sound Group Committe ....
""" You and Chris Gates got the first idea to do the Big Boys 20 years ago … Now the Big boys are still fresh , explosive and inspiring for new and old people … after 20 years do you have an opinion on the relevance of big boys today
Well its been more like 26/27 years (smile).Any sort of self expression is in the eye and ears of the recipient as to the relevance for them. You would have to be sort of vain to think what you are doing would be relevant to others (smile).I am honored and humbled when someone has been 'touched' by something i was part of. I cant speak for the others but for me ... i can only be true to myself when it comes to self expression ... which to me is living life""" ... >>>
