UMBERTO "From the Grave" LP
European edition. U.S and others through Permanent Records.
"Expo '70 bass/synth player Matt Hill has gone solo. His debut LP under the Umberto moniker is an analog masterpiece heavily influenced by the classic film score work of Goblin, except arguably better. From the moment you drop the needle, you'll be transported to Italy as an extra in a vintage horror flick directed by Dario Argento. This is some of the most accessible, yet totally authentic sounding music of the "giallo" genre we've ever heard. It was previously only available as a hyper limited edition CDr and cassette tape via Sonic Meditations". Permanent records review

MAC
BLACKOUT "America Stole my baby" LP
Singer
of the amazing Functional Blackouts, hidden instigators
of most of the KBD northamerican revival punk in recent
times.
Mac Blackout, who had previously worked with FDH, Sacred
Bones or Dead Beat records his new LP now exclusively
for Burka For Everybody. It sound evokes a damaged symphony between Suicide and the first Brian Eno albums, torn appart by Darby
Crash, who currently lives in the worst “trailer park”and
works doing “dirty jobs” for a decadent post-cocaine addict, Giorgio Moroder, who also only sells speed.

NAPALM
BEACH "Rock & roll hell + trap sampler"
LP
Recorded by Greg
Sage from the Wipers. This reference includes
the "Rock and Roll hell" album and the three songs from the
Trap Sampler compilation (Both on Greg Sage’s record label, years
ago TRAP records) that featured Napalm Beach, Pell
Mell, The Wipers and Drum Bunny.
Amazing Psycho-r’n’r- punk songs. "Rock
and roll hell" is one of the best songs in da world. As Greg Sage
said this was a big influence for the Wipers, listen to the songs and
you will understand why.
Forgotten apostles from the northwest rock'n'roll saga, you know, Sonics,
Wailers, Wipers or The Rats. Napalm Beach released their best songs through
Trap records, the Greg Sage label from the Wipers. In this record, you'll
get their cassette "Rock'n' roll Hell" and their astonishing
contribution to the Trap Sampler compilation. Their songs
lack of equidistance, they're tearing, melodic, and they are full of their
own sound, whichis like desperated and mysterious chemistry. Sage produced
these songs erasing whatever he found superficial, reducing and smashing
to bits all guitar, bass and drums, leaving his own personal trace in his
shitty like he does nowadays too. The best Wipers songs which aren't in
any of the Wipers albums.

DE
HOJE HAELE "JEG HORTE DIG SYNGE" 7”
These Danish rock in the opposite way than most of their fellow countrymen
creating a hot rock'n'roll pre punk which wades across the first Red
Kross, Gizmos, Eater and
Johnny Moped, along with some druggaddicting 70's power
pop. Peeping and totally unable pop which blows in the head of that
humane nebula so-called "art" transforming it into a party
that only allows entry to those who are inevitably chunk.
Look also for his
amazing debut album on Hjernspind.

MICHAEL
YONKERS-GR "The High Speed Recording
Complex" LP
Kling-Klang- Klang!!!
Abrupt patronage blues that invades your senses, you won't find Michael
Yonkers in museums, despite the fact he was a psychodelic pioner and there
weren't many. His “Micromiature Of Love”
from 1968 is invertebrated noise, blues for the unemployed crowd which
was the first uneducated noise of Discharge before Discharge.
Yonkers isn't a smart arse, he doesn't look down on others, this split
record with the French GR is the drone which Charlie
Patton would have liked to ride, mutant shit
that Yonkers and Gr burn phisically. It's urban blues which describes
the outer limits with a cosmic urge in a hyperrealist way. Dudes!! Yonkers
reveals himself in a god of thunder from Minneapolis in order to establish
connection with the Mayas who built in Benidorm Eons times ago. On the
whole, this guy definitely talked to ghosts and spirits. Elvis Voon Doom
AQUARIUS RECORDS
We just woke up. It's like 7am and we're pretty sleepy - but tomorrow's
"list day" and there's still records to be reviewed... Let's
see what effect this Michael Yonkers + GR lp will have on us.... woah!
Better'n coffee... these two plug their electric guitars directly into
your frontal lobes! With incessant, reverbed, choo-choo train rhythms
on rattling percussion to make you get up and go. Alien distortodelic
rock n' roll. Yowza.

TOXIN III "I Rock I Ran"
LP
"Lousiana Punk Legends 1979-1982"
.... This record was re-released by Hyped To Death
(only cd) and next by Rave Up. It has been long sold
out so we consider it is great to do a new pressing of this classic
punk record.
Can´t writte to much about this record and not get stupid and
impassioned. If you like the good Flesheaters, Pagans
, first Gun Club ... you will enjoy this record because
it has the same quality and good vibes that the"Fire of Love"
(p.e) .
New notes by Chris Cart are included on the cover,
interview in the info sheet and some changes in the artwork. But the
songs are the same ;)
"TOXIN III “I rock I Ran (Again)” Lp . If you missed
the Hyped 2 Death or Rave-Up reissues, here ´s your chance to
get Toxin III ´s early 80 ´s output. The song you know (and
probably love) is “I rock I ran” (which kicks off Killed
By Death #8.5 , but unlike a lot of the KBD band reissues that get spread
out over a whole album, Toxin III ´s other songs more or less
hold up, especially if you can get down with bands like the SHIT DOGS.
None of them are nearly as storming as “I rock I ran” ,
but even the later tracks that start leaning towards a new-wavey sound
(think early SUBURBS maybe) are good. (IS Maximum rock and roll #323)"

GEPOPEL
"No One Can
Stop Advance" 7"
From early to mid eighties Gepopel (from Holland)
were doing noise for you amigo,,,much noise and very well done. Noise
and distortion records released all their stuff so check
it out. Anyway they have not include the first demo "No one can stop
advance" that I also consider very great. In a different way the
songs of the first demo were less fast hardcore and more lo-fi punk, similir
to Urinals, some Chain gang..
Messthetics compilations stuff ... "The
day after" is a great lofi punk song , and others like "Nato"
or "Eenheidswors" could easily be done by the Pagans,
but recording with 4-track of course! .... This is pure classic! 6 songs
from the cassette demo first time on vinyl.
Split release with Superfluous Records (Berlin-Ger).
"GEPOPEL “No one can stop advance” ..7”..
This
classic Dutch band came out with only a few releases, but were intense
and distinctive, with a disordered HC sound not unlike a messy BGK. The
six tracks here employ basic-as-possible songs, mostly founded on repetitious
guitar riffs and a slashing instrumental sound. Aside from one curious
tune with ah experimental mix of synth and a swelling backdrop of guitars,
the remainder of the material is uniformly aggressive that improves markedly
with higher volume. Not quite as arresting as their debut, but time hasn´t
interfered with the urgency of their sound. (SS Maximum rock and
roll #323)"
